About Bowthorpe Park Farm
Bowthorpe Park Farm, located in South Lincolnshire, is a multi-generational family farm known for the Bowthorpe Oak, the UK's Largest Girthed Oak Tree. The Blanchard family, stewards of the farm for five generations, have upheld high farm assured and welfare standards in livestock and crop production. The farm's history dates back to World War II when food scarcity compelled rigorous farming efforts. Over the years, the crop focus shifted to cereals, and a substantial sheep flock was established. The Corby Glen sheep fair remains a notable annual event for livestock transactions.
